School Uniform

Clarification on uniform for the remainder of this half term:

The initial request was for children to come to school on Friday wearing shirt and tie if possible since the photographers are taking photos of individuals and groups in years 7-10.

With the weather getting colder, we are encouraging pupils to move to the winter uniform, with a view to having our pupils wearing shirts and ties over the next few weeks, ideally by October 8th. However, we are aware that parents may not have purchased the shirts for the winter uniform and we are not mandating that the uniform is changed unless people are in a position to be able to do so.

The original cut off date of half term remains.

We will soon be seeking parental views in relation to having a single uniform all year round, which we believe, will be far cheaper and more practicable in the long term.

I hope that the above email explains the situation. Apologies if it appeared that we are mandating something here. A change to the school uniform is a governing body decision, we are only trying to see if we can move pupils to wearing the winter uniform a little earlier where possible.

Diolch yn fawr.
