Adverse weather conditions - January

Dear pupils and parents,

With regard to the recent inclement weather I wish to thank you for the high attendance rate for Monday, Thursday and Friday of last week and in particular the parental support in ensuring the attendance of your children.  RCT made every effort to maintain the safety of the site.  However, we had no option but to close the school on 22 and 23 January due to heavy snow, very poor and dangerous transport links and the health and safety of all members of the school community.  However, external History and Maths examinations continued for Sixth form students.  Once again, I wish to thank the parents for arranging transportation for their children and RCT for providing 4x4 vehicles to transport pupils to the school. We were able to continue with the Year 7 Parents' Evening on Thursday 24 January and were pleased that a large number of parents attended.

Thank you again for your continued support.

Mr Price
