GCSE Results

I would like to congratulate Rhydywaun pupils and staff on their Summer 2012 GCSE and BTEC results. 63% managed to reach the Level 2 Threshold this year (5 GCSE or BTEC qualifications) in a period where there was a decrease in the A*-C grades nationally. This is an increase of 4% on  last years’ results and the second best set of results in the school’s history. 38 pupils achieved at least 10 GCSE grades and 14% of all grades were A or A*. Only one pupil left school with no qualifications. Among the high achievers are Joseff Reed with 4 A* and 6 A grades, Abigayle O’Sullivan with 3 A* and 7 A grades and Alice Eklund with 1 A* and 9 A grades.  We look forward to welcoming pupils back to the Sixth Form as they start their new Key Stage 5 courses in September.
