Ysgol Gyfun Rhydywaun is again celebrating another good set of A and AS levels.

Congratulations to the students today benefiting from the fruits of their hard work over the past two years.

The pass rate was 96% with almost 70% of all grades being A* to C.

The number of higher grades also increased and nine of the 64 students in the year gained two A / A * grades or better.

Headteacher Mark Jones said, “We are delighted with the results this year. This is a credit to our students who have worked hard in and beyond lessons over the last two years. We wish them the best of luck in the next stage of their careers.”

 Noteworthy achievements include:

Eve Price - 3A *, 1A + A grade at AS. Eve is going to study medicine at Cambridge.

Owain Birrell - 3A *, 1B + A grade at AS. Owain is going to study Mathematics at Oxford.
