Pupils from Year 10 and Year 12 have been working hard to achieve the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver awards and have been on two expeditions during this hot weather! The Bronze Award pupils went to Miskin for their practice and then to the Gower for their assessment expedition. They had to spend two days walking and one night camping. The Silver Award pupils stayed in the Country Park in Aberdare for their practice and then spent three days walking from Llangorse to Crickhowell with two nights camping on their way. They even got up really early and started walking at 5.30am to avoid the hot sun! Congratulations to all and thanks to Mr Neil Maliphant the Duke of Edinburgh Co-Ordinator.
