Iwan James is the winner of the Cog1nio competition on S4C after successfully preparing a complicated three course meal. He was announced as the winner on the programme when he beat William Howell from Carmarthen in the final.

In the series twenty of the youngest and best cooks from Wales compete against each other with one cook leaving the competition each week. The competitors were given the opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented chefs in Wales, including Padrig Jones and Daniel ap Geraint.

Iwan won a Kenwood mixer and the opportunity to work with Daniel ap Geraint in his restaurant - Blas. He also won a cooking slot at the Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells in the summer.

Iwan says that he felt under pressure during the final round when he had to produce a three course meal in just three hours. He cooked scallops with leeks and chilli, beef wellington and a chocolate tart with raspberries and passion fruit.

Iwan is also a keen athlete and enjoys acting, although he's being kept busy at the moment preparing Christmas cakes for his family!
